So we have 27 days to
go till we are supposed to close and we don't even have drywall yet! Anyone
else see a problem here?
Last Thursday we had our pre-drywall meeting and it went great, we went thru the entire work order room by room. The PM also went over how the roof truss, and floor joists are installed and also told us about the nail plates on the studs and how it is possible to break thru them if we keep trying so we need to watch when installing things in the house. He was great and made sure we were happy with how everything was done so far. There were a few items that we wanted done and our PM said no problem. I wanted the thermostat in the master moved from where they placed it, right where I was planning on putting our TV and we wanted some extra 2x4's placed in the family room where the TV will be mounted. According to our PM this week we were scheduled for our inspections, insulation and drywall.
Today I spoke to our PM and all our inspections were done and all passed with flying colors. Insulation was started today, they did the foam insulation today, which we were only told about because we cant go into the house tonight because of the fumes I even had to respond in writing that I was aware of this. I guess the fumes are toxic and they want to make sure they were covered on their end. Tomorrow and Wednesday they should finish the insulation and Thursday is our blower test. The blower test is required for our new energy codes. Friday we should start drywall.

We are hoping that after they have the drywall installed they will start moving faster and get things done on time. We are ready to move and have our lives back to normal living in a maze of boxes is getting old.
