We went shopping!

Well nothing new has happened at the lot so we decided to go shopping for the new house. We needed to make progress one way or the other and decided that getting all the things we need for the house would work! We picked up and ordered all the light fixtures and ceiling fans that we need. We also picked all the paint colors for the kids rooms. So here is a sneak peak at what we are planning for the house.

The 6 year olds room:

She insisted on having a chandelier and not a ceiling fan, So we found this one online and ordered it for her.

 For paint we are planning to paint her room to look like this picture we found but we are going to use Orchard Blush as the main color with the black and white trim. We will then install white bead board and chair rail on the lower half of the walls.

 

 

Have you figured out that purple is her favorite color yet? We are trying not to make it so overwhelming , but if it was up to her it would be purple from floor to ceiling.

The 2 year olds room:

We saw this cute ceiling fan at Lowe's and she fell in love with it and every time we went in there she would call it her light so we decided that she could have it.

 

For her paint colors we are going with the Bubblegum pink on the ceiling and the Frosted Green Grape on the top half of the walls with chair rail and white bead board on the lower half. The Frosted Green Grape looks much different then this picture I pulled off of Glidden's website.

She is into anything right now but this color scheme will match her bedding and I think the green makes it not so girly pink.

And for my little man the baby:

For now we are just going with this standard fan, which we also got for the master bedroom, since he will only be just turning 1 when we move in I figured we would wait till we get him in a big boy bed before we decide what to do. Then we are going to paint his room Tropical Surf, once again looks like a pale blue in person.

 

 

 

For the family room we found this Harbor Breeze fan, we also got the remote for it as well since that will make it much easier to turn the fan on and off on the high ceilings. 

And for over the island in the kitchen we picked up these cute pendant lights.

 

 

 

We still need to pick paint colors for our room and the rest of the house but we are planning to paint the kids rooms before we move in so for now those are ready just need to pick up paint after closing. And now we just wait for the builder to get moving and build us a house to put all these cool things in. Hopefully we have some progress this week, especially since its going to be nice for the rest of the week.
