December 21, 2012

Hi Bloggers, today we meet with our SR and we made a lot of our color selections. Surprisingly it wasn't as overwhelming as we thought it was going to be. *** gave us quite a few options to choose from. Let start first with the exterior of the house.

The brick front we choose is called Sierra Regents by General Shale, the shingles are black, our shutters and front door are a cranberry color, we were just given a number not the actual color. Our trim and garage doors are white and our siding is Classic Linen in Double 5" Dutch Lap siding

We went back and forth with the brick color but decided on the Sierra Regents, the original brick we were going to choose was called Old Marlborough and looks almost white.

After we left the model home and we drove by a house with the same shutters we choose with the white brick and it just didn't look right. We emailed the SR right away and got her to change the brick color.

Our Kitchen cabinets are Armstrong LaCerise in Espresso, the door looks  just like this

but in Espresso

For now we are going with standard laminate counter tops we will switch them out to granite later on, but the laminate that we choose is Wilsonart HD Bain Brook Grey

We are also getting upgraded Stainless Steal appliances which includes a double oven, 5 burner gas cook top, dishwasher, and Refrigerator, I am trying to get them to add in a built in microwave since I have moved the cook top and no longer need a downdraft, lets keep our fingers crossed for that one.

We are meeting the flooring company on the 27th and as of now we think we are going to go with standard flooring and lay wood later on, we have done it before and know it will be cheaper to do it ourselves. So unless they give us a great deal that's what the plan is.

We are happy with our choices so far, and we think that once we see them coming together we will be thrilled.

Hope you all have a great holiday!
