Today we drove by the lot and they had removed all the forms and
were packing up for the day. So after they pulled away from the lot I climbed
the mountain of dirt and got all the good pictures that I couldn't get
yesterday! Ha! that will show them! Well not really but it made me feel good to
know that I did it after getting yelled at. We were able to see the windows
that we added to the basement area under the solarium, we plan on making that a
spare bedroom later on. I was also able to climb down into the basement and
actually walk around the basement it was so cool.
As we were waiting for them to finish packing up and leave, we drove around the community to look at the houses with walk out basements and we noticed that all of them have the above ground areas framed with siding. K still isn't totally sold on the idea and still wants to talk to the PM Monday to see if we have any other options but I did notice that it really isn't too noticeable because they paint the foundation to match the siding so it kinda blends together. So we will see what happens Monday I am sure no matter what it will be fine and look ok but just the way the SR described it to us make it sound just plain ugly.
But before we get to the pictures we did some major shopping today again. LOL! We ordered a new bedroom set and a table for the morning room back in January, we were told they would hold the furniture for us till we close in early June no problem right? Nope nothing is that easy!! The store is close by my Real Estate office and Monday when I was going to work I noticed that they had going out of business signs up!!!!! So today we went in to find out what was going on and yes they are closing end of March early April! So they wont be able to hold our furniture till June. But the good news was that everything was 70% off! So we looked around and found some great deals on well everything. We bought living room furniture, dining room furniture and furniture for the other side of the morning room that we plan on making a sitting area! The prices were great and we loved the items that we picked. They are going to delivery it to our current house so we will have to move it ourselves later on but it is totally worth it in the long run.
