April 17, 2013

Drove up to the house tonight and was shocked by how much was done today! We have a front door, almost all of the windows installed and the house has the first coat of wrap.

Morning Room

That right there is the morning room wall, the wall of windows that has caused so much stress!! Yesterday I called the county again to speak to the nice sweet girl that told me last week that there was no problem with the builder adding the window. Well she  had the big guy call me back and he informed me that nice sweet girl has no authority to tell me that!! He told me that the county is the one that had them remove the window and there is no way to have it there without the master crashing thru the ceiling. The windows on that wall have to be 2 ft 8 inches from the corner to allow for extra bracing. Well that was not the answer I wanted but I guess its what we have to live with. I know it is going to look fine and we will have plenty of light but I just feel like we were cheated out of a window! But we are moving on and enjoying our house hopefully no more surprises like this happen again and the builder learns to tell us of these changes instead of us having to point them out.
