Happy New Year! We were waiting till
after the holidays to make a decision on our options for our home wiring. We
didn’t have to meet the company representative in person. We spoke to the CV
guy and he explained the options and e-mailed us the selection sheet. After
going over the options we choose the Silver package. Though we didn’t know most
of the Technical jargon we felt the options we picked might best suit our
needs.
The Silver package includes one
enclosure with screw-on cover, one 4x8 telephone module, one 1x8 passive cable
TV splitter, one power assembly, 4 multi-media ports with 2x2 structured wire,
two telephone only jacks with Cat5e, 2 structured 2x2 wire feed to NID.
On top of the wiring upgrade, the
builder is also offering us 4 jacks free which include 2 cable jacks and 2
phone lines, but we have chosen to convert the phone lines to cable.
We also opted for the Stereo Speaker
System Pre-Wiring option. For this option we went with the Bronze package. We
went back and forth on this one but finally decided to get the wiring and
install our own speakers later once we close. This option includes Wiring to 4
rooms with one home run location and all the locations will be blank plated.
The CV guys was nice and never pushy,
he tried to explain things and gave us time to decide if we wanted any of these
options. Overall it has been a great
experience. If anyone has ideas on how to maximize these selections or if you
